Motorcyclist dies in hospital

A 23-year-old man has died in hospital after he crashed his motorcycle on Saturday afternoon in Tharwa – making the accident the first fatality on ACT roads in more than a year.

Stewart Orme, from Kaleen, was riding with a friend when he lost control of his motorcycle on Tidbinbilla Road. He died about 7.55pm last night.

The crash is being investigated by ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
