FLORIADE’S highly anticipated after-dark event NightFest has made a spectacular return and star Canberra snapper ANDREW CAMPBELL was there to catch the first-night excitement last night (September 29).
Commonwealth Park will be lit up from 6:30pm to 10:30pm until Sunday (October 2).
Executive branch manager of Events ACT Ross Triffitt says NightFest is sure to excite and entertain visitors.
“We’ve seen thousands of visitors enjoying over one million blooms during the day and now, it’s time to put a spotlight on Floriade’s Dark Side,” says Triffitt.
“Commonwealth Park will be dazzling in lights, exciting musical acts and roving entertainment.
“On Friday and Saturday, visitors can expect lively entertainment for the Invigorate nights with acts like 19Twenty, Super Massive and Los Chavos.
“Families will also be treated to free UV neon face painting and exciting dance performances set throughout the park.”
