Multi-millions to support health workers

THE ACT government has announced $8.75 million in funding to support the wellbeing of health workers.

The Health Workforce Wellbeing and Recovery Fund will be co-designed with the health workforce – including Canberra Health Services, Calvary Public Hospital, Clare Holland House, QEII and the ACT Health Directorate – giving the workforce an opportunity to propose initiatives believed to benefit their teams.

Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said: “Through the co-design process we are hearing how important it is that staff are empowered to decide what would benefit them the most. This ensures initiatives and activities are meeting the specific needs and challenges of different teams across the health systems.”
