CANBERRA’S Nara Candle Festival has been postponed due to the wet weather.
The festival is a celebration of Canberra’s relationship with its sister city Nara in Japan, and usually features Japanese music, lighting displays and activities such as lantern-making, origami and calligraphy at Nara Peace Park, Lennox Gardens.
The event was meant to be held this Saturday (October 29) but will now take place on December 3 from 4pm-9pm.
Meanwhile, Canberra Symphony Orchestra – in consultation with Government House – has cancelled the Summer Prom planned for December 3 because of persistent rainfall and the likely condition of the grounds.
