QANTAS has ditched its traditional Red “Flying Kangaroo” colour scheme on one of its new planes that will fly into Canberra.
It’s one of the new Airbus A220 jets that will replace the QantasLink Boeing 717 aircraft.
The redesigned colour scheme was unveiled in Canada – and resembles the Qantas 747 “Wunala Dreaming” Aboriginal artwork… but it’s green, not the airline’s traditional red.
It’s the most complex livery that Airbus has ever completed for this type of plane.
New Qantas boss Vanessa Hudson says the jet is a game changer for domestic and regional travel.
This aircraft will be used on the Canberra-Melbourne route later this year.
