PASSENGERS on a REX jet flying from Brisbane to Sydney on Saturday, spent the night sleeping on the floor of Canberra Airport after their flight was diverted due to bad weather.
The incident happened on Saturday night when storms in Sydney prevented flight ZL379 from landing.
The Boeing 737 jet was diverted to Canberra, but due to curfew rules, the 167 passengers were unable to make it to Sydney. The airline claimed “no accommodation was available” for the stranded passengers.
It wasn’t until 10.30am Sunday that the plane left Canberra to complete its journey to Sydney.
