Entry fees for Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve will return from July 1.
Annual passes which were valid on or after May 25 2023 will be valid until December 31.
Private vehicles of up to eight seats can purchase a day pass for $15.53, $9.32 for seniors or concession card holders, or an annual pass can be purchased for $42.58, or $28.08 for seniors or concession card holders. Group entry costs $2.07 per person for a day pass, or $1.04 per person for school groups.
Motorcycle entry costs $5.80 for a day pass, or $21.81 for an annual pass. A day pass for entry on a motorcycle is free for seniors or concession card holders, or an annual pass can be purchased $15.58.
Cash payment is unavailable at the Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre.
Visitors can purchase a pass by visiting the Access Canberra website and printing it out prior to their visit, or save the receipt on their mobile device, says executive branch manager, ACT Parks and Conservation Service, Stephen Alegria.
There is also a QR code at the Tidbinbilla Visitor Centre that visitors can use to scan and pay when they arrive.
Mr Alegria, said the fees will help continue the maintenance of visitor infrastructure in the reserve.
“As we’ve opened a new temporary visitor centre at Tidbinbilla, we’re re-introducing entry fees that will help the ACT Parks and Conservation Service maintain the reserve that Canberrans and visitors love,” he says.
“These modest but important fees help us maintain infrastructure, support our volunteers, and undertake critical work to protect, preserve and enhance the environment for our native plants and animals throughout the reserve.”
