Commonwealth Avenue closed again for tram works

Weekend road closures on Commonwealth Avenue will continue for the next two weekends to complete the relocation of infrastructure as part of the $100m Raising London Circuit project for the light rail stage 2A.

Closures will be in place this coming weekend for those travelling northbound to Civic, with a closure the following weekend affecting southbound traffic.

Commonwealth Avenue northbound will be closed from State Circle to Vernon Circle between 8pm  on Friday until 6am on Monday.

On the following weekend (August 30-September 2), the relocation of critical infrastructure will take place on Commonwealth Avenue southbound between London Circuit and Parkes Way.

To enable these works, Commonwealth Avenue will be closed to traffic in the southbound direction between London Circuit and Parkes Way from 8pm on August 30 to 6am on September 2. Commonwealth Avenue will remain open in the northbound direction during the works.
