Two drivers have been caught travelling more than 45km/h over the speed limit, in two separate incidents in Weston Creek on Thursday night.

About 7.55pm police say they detected a motorcyclist travelling at 119km/h in the 70km/h zone along Cotter Road, Coombs.

Thirty minutes later, a white station wagon was caught travelling at 117km/h in a 60km/h zone along John Gorton Drive, Denman Prospect.

Both drivers had their licences suspended for 90 days, and were issued a fine of $1841 and incurred six demerit points.
