Two men in a stolen white Toyota HiLux with stolen Queensland registration plate stole a trailer from an address in Farrer around lunchtime on July 5.
The owner of the trailer witnessed the theft and chased the thieves in a grey Hyundai i30N.
Police say the Toyota was driven erratically along Athllon Drive, Sulwood Drive and Erindale Drive, during which time items were thrown at the Hyundai. The Toyota and trailer was deliberately reversed into the Hyundai.
Police recovered the trailer in Wanniassa a short time later and the Toyota was found in Chisholm on July 8.
Anyone who witnessed or has dash-cam footage of the Toyota Hilux in Fisher between 7am and 12.30pm, or towing a trailer and driving dangerously in Farrer, Fadden and Wanniassa on Saturday afternoon should call 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
