Three men have been charged after an allegedly stolen SUV collided with two vehicles and rolled onto its roof on the Barton Highway on Tuesday.
Police say the Volkswagen Tiguan entered the intersection of the Barton Highway and Gundaroo Drive about 2.50pm, where it collided with a Toyota Camry and a Lexus SUV.
The three men in the Volkswagen were apprehended soon after and taken to hospital with non-critical injuries. Two people in the Lexus were treated at the scene.
A 38-year-old Theodore man has been charged with riding or driving in a motor vehicle without consent.
A 22-year-old Moncrieff man has been charged with the same offence and three counts of breaching parole obligations, while a 22-year-old Kaleen man has been charged with riding or driving in a motor vehicle without consent and breaching a good behaviour order.
Police say the Volkswagen was not being pursued when the collision occurred, but officers had previously attempted to stop it. The investigation is being overseen by the AFP Professional Standards unit.
Anyone who witnessed the Volkswagen travelling between Mitchell and the Barton Highway, or has dash-cam footage of the vehicle or collision, is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
