A 38-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving after allegedly fleeing police with a baby in his car.
Police say they tried to stop a blue Kia Cerato on September 6, but the driver allegedly failed to stop and drove against traffic on Parkes Way. The pursuit was terminated and police later learned a baby had been in the car.
Two days later, police spotted the Kia in Whitlam, where the driver allegedly again failed to stop before driving on footpaths and the wrong side of the road.
Police linked the 38-year-old man to both incidents and arrested him at an O’Connor home on Tuesday.
The man, who was subject to good behaviour obligations, has been charged with two counts each of failing to stop for police and driving while suspended, and one count of dangerous driving.
