A prescribed burn is scheduled at the ACT Parks and Conservation Service depot in Duffy today, subject to suitable weather and fuel conditions.

The burn will be conducted as a training exercise for Parks and Conservation Service staff, under the supervision of experienced fire managers.

Smoke may be visible across parts of Canberra, while flames and glowing embers may be seen near the burn site.

Fire crews will monitor the site until operations are complete.

Residents are advised not to call triple-zero unless they see an unattended fire.

The burn location is available on the ACT Parks and Conservation Service website.
