The ACT government has announced $1.1 million in upgrades and planning works for Erindale Leisure Centre in Wanniassa, including a refurbishment of its gym and fitness facilities.
The works will include new gym equipment, flooring, lighting, painting and automatic doors to improve accessibility.
Funding will also support planning and design for future improvements to the changerooms, steam room and roof.
Of the $1.1 million, $197,000 has been allocated for smaller upgrades requested by centre users, following community consultation earlier this year.
The funding, included in the 2026-27 ACT Budget, follows $350,000 in improvements completed since mid-2025, including upgrades to the pool’s UV filtration system, squash court lighting and bathroom facilities.
Centre operator Belgravia, which has managed the facility since August 2025, will deliver the equipment replacement and refurbishment works.
