OVER the long weekend the 2014 Australian Canoe Polo National Championships were fought out on the waters of Molonglo Reach.
Thirty teams from ACT, NSW, QLD, SA and VIC competed at the National Championships in seven divisions,” former Canoe Polo World Champion Duncan Cochrane said.
“This year’s National Championships were the largest in 5 years and included the largest contingent of junior players in 10 years.”
The ACT Women’s team, which only formed late last year, achieved a gold medal by beating Victoria in a close final.
The ACT Veterans (over 35) Team also won gold in a grand final against NSW.
