Uber is advertising for drivers

WHILE Simon Corbell has told a local daily paper that the smartphone based ride sharing service Uber would be illegal in the ACT, that doesn’t appear to be stopping them advertising for drivers.

The above ad appeared in my facebook feed.

It leads to a dedicated Canberra signup page.

Things could get exciting, on doesn’t imagine the existing players in the taxi market will want to go quietly having paid vast sums for their licences.
