Busy people get busy!

LEND Lease will run its annual Community Day on Thursday with the aim of helping not-for-profit organisations.

RSPCA Dog House, The Shepherd Centre, Uniting Care and Gungahlin Child and Family Centre will be visited by more than 50 Lend Lease employees with a variety of activities.

Activities include; a lunch for the Cycle for Smile team  – a cycling team supporting children living with rare diseases; building RSPCA Dog Houses; building a cubby house, barbecue and garden area for children at the Shepherd Centre; cooking a barbecue breakfast for Uniting Care; and gardening at Gungahlin Child and Family Centre.

Springback Rise project director Steve Harding said the Community Day was about taking time out from the busy working day to give something back.

“Projects for Community Day are selected for a variety of reasons, some have previous partnerships with Lend Lease, others align with our core values however all are dedicated to assisting the local community,” Steve said.

This is Lend Lease’s 16th consecutive Community Day, and since the initiative began in 1996, employees have volunteered more than 500,000 hours worldwide.
