Drink driver caught twice

A MAN was caught twice within two hours for drink driving last night.

The 36-year-old man from Fraser, was stopped by a Tuggeranong police at a random breath testing on Drakeford Drive, Isabella Plains at about 10pm. The man returned a positive reading and was taken to Tuggeranong Police Station where he returned an alcohol content reading of 0.086.

Police told the man he would be summonsed for the drink driving offence and he was released.

The man was caught again at about 11.50pm, when Gungahlin police found the man speeding along Ellenborough Street in Kaleen at 120km/h in a 60km/h zone.

He was breathalised, returned a positive result and was taken to the Belconnen Police Station where he returned an alcohol content reading of 0.056.

The man was taken to the ACT Watch House, where he was charged with speeding and drink driving. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court on November 22.
