A 40-year-old Greenway woman has lost her licence after being caught for drink driving on Saturday afternoon.
About 3pm, police received a report of a woman driving her car while intoxicated. When police arrived, the woman was subjected to a roadside breath-test, which returned a positive reading. The woman was taken to Tuggeranong Police Station where she returned a breath alcohol reading of 0.254.
The woman was issued with an Immediate Suspension Notice and will be summonsed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
Yesterday, Woden Police were conducting a random breath test on Streeton Drive in Weston. About 2.10am, a 30-year-old Stirling man was stopped and returned a positive reading on the side of the road. He was taken to Woden Police Station where he returned a reading of 0.178.
He was issued with an Immediate Suspension Notice and will face the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
Woden Police issued four Immediate Suspension Notices and will be summonsing five people to court for drink driving from Saturday night after conducting 50 breath-tests.
ACT Policing will focus on drink driving over the months of November, December and January.
