THE line-up of the first Corinbank Garden Party has been announced.

The free event, will be held at the Australian National Botanic Gardens on Saturday, October 15, and will also include a ticketed gourmet slow-food banquet.

The garden party will also launch next year’s Corinbank Festival, at Corin Forest Mountain Resort in the Brindabellas from March 2-4.

“We are pleased to announce the first three bands for the 2012 Corinbank Festival line-up,” said artistic director Mark Bradley.

“James Fahy Trio, Beth ‘n’ Ben and Fun Machine will give the Botanic Gardens crowd something to dance about and a real taste for what lies ahead for the 2012 festival.”

The slow food banquet will be prepared by award-winning local chefs Kim De Poorter and Pennie Scott who will serve a three-course meal featuring the best produce of the region.

Party goers, who don’t have a ticket to the banquet, can still enjoy a gourmet sausage sizzle plus a full bar serving beer from Wig & Pen and wines from the region.
