POLICE raided a house where cannabis was being grown under lights this morning, and siezed $30,000 worth of drugs suspected of being cannabis, cocaine, methylamphetamine, steroids and heroin along with illegal weapons and ammunition.
Detectives searched the house in Hackett at about 10.40am after obtaining a search warrant under the Drugs of Dependence Act and found the hydroponic chamber inside a locked room under the house. Three plants were growing inside the chamber.
Police say there was also about drugs with a street value of about $30,000 in the house: 1kg of dried cannabis, about 28 grams of suspected cocaine and an unspecified amount of two substances they suspect are methylamphetamine and heroin.
Prohibited bladed weapons, ammunition and suspected steroids were also seized.
A 39-year-old man was present during the raid and police say he is currently assisting with their enquiries. No charges have yet been laid.
