Fire at Tuggeranong Homeworld

FIREFIGHTERS are on scene at Dan Murphys, at the Tuggeranong Homeworld complex, Scollay Street, Greenway, following a small electrical fire in a light fitting.

Approximately 10 people were evacuated as a precaution as ACT Fire & Rescue investigate the smoke from the light fitting.

Staff and customers will be permitted to return once firefighters conclude with ventilation and air monitoring operations.

There is minimal damage.

Two fire pumpers and one Commander responded to the incident.
