Speed coming down on Baldwin Drive

baldwin drive

TERRITORY and Municipal Services reports that from today the speed limit of a section of Baldwin Drive, Kaleen, will be lowered to 60 kilometres an hour to improve safety in the area.

The section of Baldwin Drive between Ginninderra Drive and the southern end of Maribyrnong Avenue is currently 80 kilometres an hour. The rest of Baldwin Drive is already 60 kilometres an hour.

Variable message boards are in place this week to ensure the community is aware of the change.

This speed limit decrease is part of a larger program to improve road safety in Kaleen, such as new line markings on the intersection Maribyrnong Avenue and Tyrrell Circuit, which will also begin next week.

Here we go again, more time added to our daily commute. They won’t be happy with safety until we are doing 40 on the parkway!
