Two bus tours have been scheduled for the last two weekends of the festival that focus on showcasing Canberra’s landmark buildings and houses by both emerging and foreign architects.

“Architects from Abroad” takes a bus ride to four major projects by leading Canberra architects who started their careers aboard and learn how their international language has been implemented in the Canberra context.

The guided tour includes Romaldo Giurgola’s St Thomas Aquinas Parish, Enrico Taglietti’s 54 Marcus Clarke Street, Hal Guida’s Ainslie Ambulance and Fire Rescue Station and Botswana High Commission.

In “Emerging Architects” architectural tourists will be able to gauge the future of design in our community through works by the ACT’s leading emerging architects, including architects’ own houses, and will showcase affordable and sustainable solutions in architecture. Each project will have the design architect, client, and builder present.

Both at, 2A Mugga Way, Red Hill. “Architects from Abroad”, November 1. “Emerging Architects”, November 19. Bookings to https://architectureact.wufoo.com/forms/mzn50qq0wp34k8/
