SAXON van der Weegen took this magnificent shot of the lightning being generated by Canberra’s week of powerful storms.
You can see more of his work at sxnvdw.wix.com/photography
Glenn Martin also caught this cracker. You can see his stuff at facebook.com/GlennMartinPhotographer.
David and Marina also captured what would appear to be the arrival of a Terminator on video.
UPDATE Intriguingly the two photographs appear to be of the same lightning strike, viewed from difference perspectives.

Who can be trusted?
In a world of spin and confusion, there’s never been a more important time to support independent journalism in Canberra.
If you trust our work online and want to enforce the power of independent voices, I invite you to make a small contribution.
Every dollar of support is invested back into our journalism to help keep citynews.com.au strong and free.
Thank you,
