A CONTRACTOR working on the light rail project ended up in hospital yesterday (December 8) following an electrical shock, according to a statement from ACT Work Safety Commissioner Greg Jones. LightRail_Web_Blog2

The person was working near the intersection of Northbourne Avenue and Swindon Street, Downer, when the electrical shock occurred.

WorkSafe ACT was called to the site and has since issued a stop work prohibition notice for the site until the cause of the shock is located and fixed.

The worker was released yesterday after medical assessment and clearance.
