Thieves use wheelchair to steal hospital cafe safe

Thieves caught on CCTV heading off with the cafe safe.
BURGLARS used a wheelchair to transport a safe stolen from the Zouki Café, at the Canberra Hospital, to a car early on the morning of Sunday, June 4.

Police arrived at the scene around 1.40am after reports that two people had entered the hospital, scaled the partition wall and gone inside Zouki Café.

A review of the CCTV identified that two offenders had removed a safe from the café and used a wheelchair to wheel it to a nearby car.

The car used in the aggravated burglary is believed to a small/medium SUV with large chrome rims and low profile tyres.

Police are urging anyone with information about the aggravated burglary to call 1800 333000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au
