ANU’s musical blooms

HOT on the heels of the Ainslie Music Centre’s Bloom Music Festival, the ANU and has sprouted two springtime events, the ANU School of Music Rhythm and Blooms Festival @ Floriade (every day from 12.30pm on Stage 88) and at the School of Music itself, a festival of early music, Musica Antica.

The week-long event, which begins today, will feature 10 lecture-demonstrations that will be made available to regional schools and conservatoria via the ANU School of Music’s music videoconference technology, so that remote audiences will be able to watch, listen and interact live with the international cast of performers and presenters.
