Blaze destroys apartment

THE top level of a two storey apartment in Banks was destroyed by fire today.

ACT Fire Brigade received phone calls at about 3.40pm of a fire at an apartment on Thomas Hart Street. Three fire pumpers extinguished the blaze.

The fire also caused minor damage to the roof of the adjoining unit. No one was home at the time of the fire.
