Fire rips through Evatt home

FIRE fighters have overcome a house fire on Kevin Street, Evatt.

ACT Fire and Rescue were called to the house fire at 12.35pm, and were fighting to control the fire in the home’s roof. The three-bedroom home suffered smoke and water damage to an estimated cost of about $200,000.

No one was home at the time of the fire, however fire fighters saved two dogs from the backyard.
