Holiday fun at NFSA

The school holiday program at NFSA will keep the kids occupied over the next two weeks.

THE National Film and Sound Archive’s Spring School Holiday Program is in full swing. It’s been inspired by its latest exhibition, “Collective Passions: the art of the festival poster.”

Here are some highlights:

Creation Station: If you’ve ever wanted to start your own band and be a rock star,  you can dress up then perform under the spotlight on stage. October 10 – Friday 14 October 14, 10am-12pm daily. $5 per child (includes materials); adults free.  Children must be accompanied.

Children’s trail: You take off on your rock tour to Australia’s  capital cities, until October 16. FREE. Suitable for ages four and up.

School holiday films:

October 13, 2pm: “HAPPY FEET” (G), The Aussie kids film of a penguin who can’t sing, but knows how to dance, tickets $5!

October 14 2pm: “LINDA, LINDA, LINDA” (PG), A selection of Japanese cinema’s girl band pop movies. (Subtitled: recommended for kids aged 10+). Tickets $5!
