Life-ban driver nabbed

A 62-year-old Hughes man, disqualified from driving until 2070, was arrested this morning for driving without a licence.

Police caught the man at about 1.10pm driving a Hyundai Excel on Narrabundah Lane in Symonston. Police checks not only revealed he was a disqualified driver but the car he was driving was unregistered and bearing incorrect number plates.

After his arrest he was taken to the  City Watch House where he was charged with a number of traffic offences and released with strict bail conditions. He will face ACT Magistrates Court.
