2CA goes for gold

CANBERRA’S first radio station 2CA has been nominated for a 2012 Gold Chief Minister’s award.

The award recognises the contributions made by those that have lived in Canberra for the past 50 years or longer and coincides with Canberra’s 99th birthday festivities in March.

Last year, 2CA celebrated 80 years on air. The station has been the launching pad for radio and television personalities including James Dibble, John Blackman, Steve Liebman and Peter Leonard.
