WOMEN’S Legal Centre will be relocated to a more suitable space, funded by a $666,000 investment from the ACT Budget.
WLC currently shares Havelock House with the Welfare Rights and Legal Centre and the Tenants Union, however due to an increase in services they need more space.
“This funding will be available from 2013-14 to help the Women’s Legal Centre to find accommodation that best suits their needs while allowing other community legal centres to expand in the space left vacant by the Women’s Legal Centre,” Attorney General Simon Corbell said.
