Damage bill in the thousands for house fire

A FIRE broke out in a kitchen at a home on Serra Place, Stirling after food was left cooking on a stove unattended.

Multiple emergency calls were made to the ACT Fire and Rescue starting from 12.47pm. No one was injured in the fire. The damage bill is about $30,000.

ACT Fire and Rescue has sent out a reminder to residents: “Don’t stop looking while you’re cooking.”
