Over 30 calls for help after wild winds

EMERGENCY services have received over 30 calls for help after today’s strong winds.

A total of 33 Canberrans have called ACT State Emergency Service so far, with most calls for minor damage from trees and branches across roads and pathways.

Winds were expected to reach around 60 to 70km/h today with peak gusts of 90 to 110km/h today in the territory.

Residents who require storm or flood assistance can call the ACTSES on 132-500.
