Police search for Pearce robber

FOODWORKS in Pearce was robbed last night by a man armed with a pair of scissors.

About 6.35pm, the offender entered the Symons Street store and approached the staff member behind the counter and demanded he open the cash register.

The offender emptied the cash register, then helped himself to alcohol and cigarettes before fleeing the store.

The offender is described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, aged between 19 – 22 years-of-age, about 165cm – 170cm tall (5’6”), with a slim build. He was wearing light coloured camouflage cargo shorts, a dark Adidas hooded zip-up jacket with 3 stripes on each sleeve, a dark cap and white slip-on shoes.
