Windows on painting at ANCA

Val Gee “Many Windows”
WOMEN @ Work is a group of 15  local artists who explore and experiment with the painting process by regularly attending art workshops together.

Of their eclectic new exhibition, “Windows,” the group says as one,  “we have explored windows as blocking, opening, revealing, partitioning and framing…we see things at a glance or in the longest stare. We have painted not just a hole in a wall, but a host of possibilities.”

Exhibiting artists are Pam Bleakley, Di Broomhall, Bron Davies, Jane Dunn, Glenda Naughten, Val Gee, Diana Jamieson, Bron King, Marilyn Nelson, Betty Pearson, Ann Gordon Smith, Julie Reading, Barbara van der Linden, Reet Vallak and  Kristiane Walker.

“Windows,” at ANCA, 1 Rosevear Place, Dickson, noon-5pm, Wednesday-Sunday. Meet the artists, 2pm, Sunday August 12.
