Rotary chief to visit Canberra

ROTARY International’s incoming president Gary Huang, pictured, will join more than 500 of Australia’s leading Rotarian volunteers in Canberra for next week’s annual Rotary Institute conference.

Rotary chief Gary HuangThe Institute is a gathering of past, current and future leaders, or Governors, of the 21 Australian Rotary districts.

Mr Huang, who is a member of the Rotary Club of Taipei, Taiwan, will lead more than 1.2 million Rotarians from more than 200 countries when he takes office following the Rotary International Convention to be held in Sydney in June.

The Rotary Institute in Canberra will update Australia’s Rotary leaders on the progress on the goal that has focused their attention since 1987 – the global eradication of polio.
