Christmas Carnival comes to Civic

THE Christmas Carnival will return to Civic for 12 days next month.

Canberra CBD Limited will again stage the carnival, a series of free activities scattered through Civic Square, Ainslie Avenue, City Walk and Garema Place, from Thursday , December 12 .

Attractions will include camel rides, a rock climbing wall, bungee run, kids’ gym and an obstacle course.

Canberra CBD Limited CEO Jane Easthope said:  “The Canberra City centre has a real buzz to it during the holiday period. It’s a great opportunity for families to come together and enjoy everything the city has to offer.

“There will be free rides for everyone to enjoy as well as great entertainment from the range of community bands and choirs that are performing.”

You Are Hear Inc. will produce a program of events focused on celebrating Christmas and the holiday season during the carnival.  

Christmas Carnival in the City will run midday to 8pm, from Thursday, December 12 to Monday, December 23. 23 December 2013.
