Fire at Phillip pizza restaurant

Share Canberra's trusted news:

FIREFIGHTERS are currently working to extinguish a blaze at the Woodfire Pizza and Pasta Bar in Phillip.

The area around Bradley Street has been evacuated as a precaution while crews conduct firefighting operations.

The fire reportedly started in a flue which exhausts the woodfire pizza oven.

Substantial water and smoke damage was contained to the restaurant only, with fire damage to the exhaust system.

Three fire pumpers on scene as well as the Bronto Skylift Hydraulic Platform, The Breathing Apparatus Van and a command officer.
