Paterson snaps his way to the top

VETERAN illustrative photographer, David Paterson from Turner, has been named overall winner at the 2013 ACT AIPP [Australian Institute of Professional Photographers] EPSON Professional Photography Awards. 

Paterson was honoured for a suite of images and was also named  2013 AIPP ACT EPSON Illustrative & Travel Photographer of the Year.

“The interest in the AIPP Epson State Professional Photography awards continues to grow each year,” says AIPP Executive Officer, Peter Myers.

He described it as a great opportunity for photographers to have their work assessed by their peers and enjoy the benefits of the competition in order to push their creativity and photographic skills every year.

“Photographers from ACT and around the country look forward to this annual event.  Not only for the opportunity to have their work assessed and critiqued but also to get to together and network with their colleagues,” says AIPP national president, Kylie Lyons.

The full list of winners for the 2013 ACT AIPP EPSON Professional Photography Awards is as follows:

•        2013 AIPP ACT Travel Photographer of the Year David Paterson, TURNER

•        2013 AIPP ACT Landscape Photographer of the Year Geoff Comfort, PEARCE

•        2013 AIPP ACT Illustrative Photographer of the Year David Paterson, TURNER

•        2013 AIPP ACT Portrait Photographer of the Year Dan O’Day, CAMPBELL,

•        2013 AIPP ACT Wedding Photographer of the Year Kelly Tunney, BELCONNEN,

•        2013 AIPP ACT Family Photographer of the Year Robyn Geering, DEAKIN,

•        2013 AIPP ACT Emerging Photographer of the Year Ginette Snow, DEAKIN,

•        2013 AIPP ACT Album of the Year Dan O’Day, CAMPBELL.
