Police blitz catches disobedient drivers

ALMOST 200 motorists were caught disobeying traffic lights or stop and give way signs last month.

Police say a total of 192 drivers were caught in September, together with 139 motorists who were caught speeding on ACT roads over the long weekend last week.

ACT Policing’s Superintendent Rod Anderson said the running of red lights was the most serious traffic control offence last month, and reminded drivers of traffic light rules.

Police will target those ignoring speed limits in October.
