TAYLOR Primary School will be ready to reopen at the start of the 2014 school year, according to ACT Education and Training Minister Joy Burch.
The school was closed in March, 2012, after heavy rainfall damaged wooden frames that had already deteriorated due to age.
The ACT Government then began a $13 million project to repair and upgrade the school buildings in Kambah.
“Taylor Primary School is an important part of our community, and I’m pleased that next year the students will feel that they are walking into a brand new school,” Ms Burch said.
She added that the upgrade would transform Taylor Primary into “a modern and vibrant 21st Century learning environment”.
A child care centre on the site is also being expanded from 24 to 65 places.
