Police nab three drink drivers

THREE drivers were arrested for drink-driving on Sunday night, including a 55-year old P-Plate driver who had five previous drink-driving offences.

The 55-year-old male P-Plate driver from Narrabundah returned an Alcohol Content reading of 0.082 on Kootara Crescent, Narrabundah at around 6.30pm.

Around 8.25pm police conducted a traffic stop on a 55-year-old Holder man who returned an AC reading of 0.132 on Mulley Crescent, Holder.

Around 9.20pm police conducted a traffic stop on a 39-year-old Calwell man who returned an AC reading of 0.249 on Hindmarsh Drive, Waramanga.

All three drink-drivers had their licences immediately suspended and will be summonsed to face court at a later date.

As part of its multi-agency road safety strategy,  ACT police will be actively targeting drink and drug-affected drivers in June.
