A TIP-OFF led to police seizing a firearm, drugs and cash from a Curtin flat yesterday.
Acting on information received following the execution of a warrant in Kaleen last month where a firearm was seized and a man charged, Criminal Investigations detectives executed a search warrant yesterday afternoon on the Curtin apartment.
During the warrant police seized a Winchester rifle, knives, a sum of cash and a quantity of illicit drugs suspected to be methylamphetamine.
A 32-year-old Curtin man was arrested following the warrant and taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with firearm and drug offences. He was bailed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday, November 29.
Anyone with information on illicit firearms or the manufacturing or dealing of illicit drugs should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or viaact.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
