IT’S TIME for the annual “Wine, Roses & All That Jazz Festival” this weekend.
The festival features, at last count, 22 participating wineries, all within 35 minutes drive of the capital’s CBD and designed to celebrate the Canberra district’s wine and music.
Visitors holding a ‘Festival Passport’ will be eligible to enter the draw to wine package prizes if they have their document stamped at three of the participating wineries—a clever way of ensuring that people take a good look at the district. Ask at the vineyard you visit.
Shaw Vineyard Estate in Isabel Drive, Murrumbateman tells “CityNews” it will be running daily wine tastings from 10am to 5pm an paella-BBQ lunches from noon, as well as live jazz on Saturday and Sunday and an exhibition of artworks by Amanda McLean.
