A 28-year-old Evatt man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday, November 29) charged with drug trafficking.
About 12.50am this morning, police were conducting a patrol of Dickson when they observed lights on inside a construction site and heard power tools operating.
Police entered the work-site and observed three males on the second floor of the unfinished building, dressed in high visibility work clothing wearing tool-belts.
When asking for one of the male’s identification, two clip-seal bags containing white powder residue fell out of the man’s pocket.
Police subsequently executed Drugs of Dependence Act (DODA) warrants on the men and vehicles present, locating a sum of cash and approximately 21.5grams of suspected methylamphetamine.
The 28-year-old was arrested and taken to The ACT Regional Watch House where he was charged with traffic in a controlled drug other than cannabis and unlawful possession of stolen property.
