ACT Policing has released the name of the motorcycle rider killed in a motor vehicle collision on the Monaro Highway yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, November 26).

The deceased is Wayne Morris, 59, of Gilmore. The family of Mr Morris has requested that the media respect their privacy at this time.

A report on the incident will be prepared for the ACT Coroner.

Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident yesterday afternoon to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.


UPDATE: ACT Policing initially provided the name of the deceased as Wayne Harris. They have subsequently corrected this very important detail to Wayne Morris. Apologies to the family.
