JEREMY Hanson has written a letter to the Gambling and Racing Commission asking for an investigation as to whether the Tradies or Labor Clubs were in receipt of construction industry bribe money.
“At the royal commission last week, evidence was presented that $60,000 in allegedly corrupt money was ‘put into the pokies’ and completely lost,” Jeremy said.
“Given at the time the individual was a member of the CFMEU and the ALP, there is a possibility that the $60,000 is now in the possession of the ACT Labor Party or the CFMEU through their poker machine venues. There are strict laws to manage these sorts of issues, and I have referred the matter to the appropriate authority for investigation.”
